Many brands, designers, and planners, as well as exhibits, performances and installations. After a year of inactivity, Fuorisalone 2021 returns live and in great shape: from September 4th until 10th, for the occasion of Milano Design Week and the Super Salone, the event sponsored by the Municipality of Milan will explore the most current subjects, such as circular design, environmental sustainability and well-being.

1) Brera Design Week:
Among shows and installations, the streets Brera, the Design District most renowned and attentive to innovations, are reanimated by more than 80 points of interest, from showrooms to temporary locations. Don’t miss the eco-friendly installation of Franke in its flagship store at Via Pontaccio 18 called “Natural Capital”. The project created by CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati for Eni, recreates a three-dimensional view of the Orto Botanico (Botanical Gardens) of Brera at Via Fratelli Gabba 10.

2) Superstudio Group:
While the centre of Superstudio Più at Via Tortona 27 will contain all of the innovations and interconnections developed in the post-pandemic year, the spaces of Superstudio Maxi at Via Moncucco 35 will feature a large show-event to narrate Italian and international design: in the “Cult&Must” section, design and life-style icons triumph, while “Materials” gives space to environmentally sound and technologically advanced materials.

3) Tortona Rocks:
At building 31 of Via Tortona, a post-industrial complex at the centre of the street dedicated to creativity, attendees can get to know the offerings of the most innovative companies – such as Norwegian Vestre, leader in production of sustainable furnishings for urban spaces. While at Via Savona 33, “The Playful Home: the home of the PresentFuture” takes the stage, where one can observe the influence of the domestic and relational environment on the growth of small children.

4) Isola Design District
Emerging designers will find their promised land in the Isola area! Among the must-see events is one at Stecca 3 at Via G. De Castillia 26, where attendees can interact with colourful and modular furnishings, while at Spazio Gamma at Via Pastrengo 7, visitors can discover what the future of the furnishing industry holds through the inspired designs of some of the best talents and materials researchers.

5) Alpha District
Open-air exhibitions and site-specific installations take place in the entire area of the ex Alfa Romeo in the Portello quarter, whose epicentre is Piazza Gino Valle. Of all of the open-air exhibitions, the “Hysteria” project deserves special mention, with the involvement of a group of creatives committed to thinking about the subject of the female condition, between art and design.
